Uniquely Australian names: Banjo and Lawson

urlBanjo is an instrument right? And Lawson a boy band? For many Australians they are poets Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson. I personally adore Lawson as a name while Banjo is actually the more popular of the two Lawson also ranks in the UK at 476 most likely due to British boy band Lawson. I’m counting Lawson as uniquely Australian because of the namesake even though its more popular in England. In Australia Banjo is at 376 and Lawson is at 462 in Victoria making them both quite rare but Lawson and Paterson could be responsible for the popularity of two more common names Matilda and Henry.
