Holly is a name that belongs to someone quite close to me, its my baby second cousins name who was born nowhere near Christmas around July. Holly is a modern classic here in Australia its ranked since the 1960’s currently at 58 in Victoria and 27 in Western Australia, it is also quite popular in the UK only falling two places since 1996 currently at 25 it the US it seems like a dated choice falling to 424 its lowest point since it started climbing in the 40’s. To you is Holly dated? Childish? or just overused? To me its none of those things.

Definitely a modern classic which doesn’t seem like a surprising choice, but it’s still very pretty. Sometimes I forget what a nice name it is because it is so common.

I’d call it a modern classic too, as I wouldn’t be suprised to see it on anyone aged up to 30 or so. It’s a very sweet name!
