Because I am going back into boarding on Sunday and back to school on Monday. I am doing my best friends name who I haven’t seen since I left school. Her name is Orflaugh or as most people call her Orla. Her name is pretty unusual in Australia and so she goes by the straight forward phonetic spelling. Her name is at 175 in England. Orla could catch on with the popularity of O names but only in the phonetic spelling.
How quirky, I was only looking at that very name yesterday as it was the author of a book I borrowed from the library! I love it, I think it has a lovely old-lady-yet-modern-funky feel about it…at least in the shortened version.
Yeah it does I do like Orlaith aswell
Gorgeous name! I do think Orla is very simple and usable, while still uncommon; the Irish spelling might be a bit much for some people.
My friend spells it Orflaugh I highly doubt anyone would pronounce that right
I doubt it too!
Orla is quite beautiful, she must be proud to bear that name.
Thanks
